Get to know me better!
Every couple is a story for itself and my challenge is to tell it as natural and as honest through my photos. There are no rules, no pressure, only you being yourself, and me capturing your true emotions.

My name is Željka. I am a destination wedding photographer based in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
Ever since my elementary school, I have loved to play around with my camera. It was a simple analog one, and I remember always spending my allowance for developing the films.
That love for photography followed me through my high school days until college, when it got more serious.
I studied journalism and PR, so, my professor gave me a digital SLR camera to carry it around and to shoot for the college newspapers. I had never held that type of camera in my hands before, so the more I researched about it and what it could do, the more I got seriously hooked on journalism photography and professional photography.
I started my internship at a local newspaper here in Croatia, and soon after, I got a chance to spend one summer in Colorado, USA also as a newspaper intern. I learned so much in that short but very inspirational time, and alongside all the fun stories I shot for the paper, I covered one wedding, too. The emotions of the bride and the groom and their families left a tingling feeling in my heart.
And that was it! I got seriously hooked on wedding photography.
From then until now, every single couple made me more in love with love, and in love with what I do.

I can honestly say that I am blessed that my job is my passion, something that I love and enjoy doing.
