The Love Adventure Team…

Hi – We’re Dan & Gemma, a husband and wife team based in Conwy in North Wales.

We both love living here in North Wales, it gives us access to some of the best scenery that the UK has to offer and all the fun outdoor activities we love are right on our doorstep. As you can see, we have three amazing doggies that feature heavily on our social media stories when we’re out and about on our adventures with them.

A bit about us…

Dan – The man behind the lens. Laid back, liberal and the creative head behind Love Adventure.

“I have been living in North Wales nearly all my life, and it’s partly the local landscape that inspired me to take up photography 18 years ago.

I am also a qualified Marine Biologist, having studied in Bangor and graduated in 2009. I have always loved photography and in 2013 I decided to take the plunge and make a full time business from it. I love being outdoors, meeting new people and travelling around the world and seeing new things. It made sense to blend my love of adventure and meeting new people together to create my unique wedding photography style. My aim is always to create and capture something a bit different, I don’t have a standard wedding tick list, it’s about you having the best day and me capturing the story of your day through my eyes.”

“When we first started the Love Adventure business, I would go with Dan to most weddings and support him throughout the day, whilst also lending a female eye for the details. I loved meeting all the wonderful couples we’ve worked with over the years…after all, who doesn’t love a good wedding.

With a background in project management, it made sense for me to take over the communications, social media, marketing, and finance jobs (turns out there’s a lot of behind the scenes work to do when running a business), leaving Dan the extra time to do what he he does best…take epic photos!

More recently I have started doing some of the adventure and elopement planning, and creating wedding albums should any of our couples want something a bit extra to remember their day with.”

We describe our style as 90% documentary, 10% guided scenes. We want to ensure that we have the right connection together and that you are totally relaxed in front of the camera. This will help us achieve those beautiful, natural shots that you will love and cherish forever. There will be occasional guidance and direction but for the majority of the day you wont need to worry about us, we easily become part of the crowd and the party, capturing all those epic, funny and beautiful moments as they unfold throughout the day.

We shoot weddings, elopements and adventures all over the UK and are available to shoot destination weddings and elopements abroad. It’s always an honour to be a part of such a special occasion, capturing moments through fun, relaxed coverage with our epic, adventurous story telling twist.

In addition to weddings, we also do a lot of commercial photography, working closely with with organisations like Visit Wales, Natural Resources Wales, BBC Countryfile and Arcteryx outdoor clothing. Our landscape work, events and product shots have been used in publicity materials by clients such as Canon, National Geographic, the World Rally Championship (WRC), Red Bull, Visit Great Britain and Visit Wales, you can also find our work regularly published in such publications as TGO (The Great Oudoors) Magazine.

We love having such a diverse and interesting range of clients and photography work, it gives us experience across the board and allows us to be very adaptable to many different environments, weather and any other unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
